Newport Beach CERT volunteers are needed for upcoming events

• Spring Egg Hunt, Friday, March 26 - The recreation department is requesting 15-20 CERT volunteers to assist with the Spring Egg Hunt. The assignment is from 5:45-9 p.m. at Bonita Creek Park (3010 La Vida). We will also have a CERT booth at the event. CERT volunteers will be assisting with logistical issues. CERT attire – t-shirt, vest, ID badge and warm clothes.

• "Drill the Skills" class, Saturday, March 27 - CERT volunteers are needed to assist with the drill. Assignment is from 7:30 a.m.-2 p.m. at Fire Station #7.

• CERT volunteers are also encouraged to register for the "Drill the Skills" class as a participant. The drill runs from 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at Fire Station #7. This is an easy way to renew your ID badge, get updated on the CERT program, and to review your skills.

• CERT Organizational Meeting - Thursday, March 18 - 5:30 p.m. at Fire Station #7. There will be a brief meeting to discuss the upcoming events, how to register your hours, and other CERT related issues. The meeting will be less than 45 minutes (there is a CERT class right after).
